On the Sunday, All team members play in Singles (12 matches). The USA Team has 10 automatic qualifiers from the US LPGA Tour and 2 Captains picks. The European team have 5 automatic qualifiers, 4 automatic qualifiers from the Rolex Rankings, and 3 Captains picks. The Captains: England's Alison Nicholas has a Solheim Cup record of 7-8-3, and amassed 18 tournament victories around the world. Beth Daniel is a 3 time Rolex Player of the Year, with 33 LPGA victories. The Teams: Named on the 2nd August. A review of the contenders would indicate a hugely close fought event, which I am not willing to try to pick. The remaining five foot putt was straight uphill and went right in the centre. This followed a chip-in birdie on the 11th (par 3). Ended up shooting 79 for the day as the eagle and birdie balanced out some poor play later in the round. The rating of courses is expected to start in September and continue through to the end of 2010. GoforGOLF is completely set up to use the US Slope Rating handicap system. All courses that have a slope rating have a Slope Rating Chart available on their GoforGOLF web page. Also, by selecting to use the Slope Rating System, your handicap index will automatically be converted to your "course handicap", and your stableford calculated using this. To use the Slope System, click 'Change your Details', and tick the . . . 'Use USGA Slope Rating for score entry' box. If you only sometimes play a rated course, click the button anyway, to ensure the Slope Rating system will operate Whenever it is available. If your course is rated, or the rating has changed, let me know, and I will update GoforGOLF. If you need further help please do not hesitate to email me.
