(I have just read that has taken Tigers carreer earnings over US$1 billion). And Phil Mickelson taking THE TOUR Championship for a meague US$1,500,000. With the tight finishes at most of the tournaments, the resurgence of Phil Mickelson and others, we look forward to another exciting year in 2010. Before 2009 is over, we have the Presidents Cup, next week, with Tiger and Phil in the same team. There is the World Match Play Champs, and the WGC - HSBC Championship in China. So we still have plenty to look forward to. Presidents Cup . . . USA versus an International Team, excluding players eligible for the European Ryders Cup team. This is looking like another spectacular showcase of the some of the best players in the world playing in the same match play format as the Ryder Cup. I have repeated the brief description of the Presidents Cup in the Handi TIPS below. Don't miss it. . . . . . . Richard, from the Miramar Golf Club tells us, "Good drive but then had 180m to go with two bunkers in the way, so hit a high cut 3 rescue to 5 feet and got the put. Feels really good to do a Tiger like shot". And Steve from Cimmaron Golf Resort says, "My 3 wood 2nd shot stopped on line with and less than a foot short of the pin, on the par 5, 526 yard 13th. I was fotunate ehough to have a tap-in eagle". A REAL Handi Tip A most useful tip to know is that if you click on the GoforGOLF logo on the top left of each page, it will return you to the Home Page. Very helpful if you get lost on GoforGOLF 2. Internet Things You may from time to time have a problem with your connection to GoforGOLF. This is likely an internet problem, and not a problem with the GoforGOLF website. If you leave it for a short time, then try again, more than likely the connection will occur without a problem. 3. Repeated FYI . . . Presidents Cup The President's Cup is similar to the Ryder Cup, but competed for between USA and an International Team, excluding players eligible for the European Ryders Cup team. Thursday has 6 Foursome matches Friday has 6 Four-ball matches Saturday has 5 Foursome then 5 Four-ball matches Sunday has 12 singles matches The USA team is made up of the top 10 players from the US Tour plus 2 captains choices. The International Team is made up of the top 10 players on the World Golf Rankings, plus 2 captains choices. Fred Couples captains the USA Team, Greg Norman the International Team.
